Join us in beautiful Estoril, Portugal to advance crucial digital rights issues at local, regional and global levels. We welcome applications from people working on diverse issues that sit at the intersection of technology and human rights, including public interest technology, open source software, holistic digital security of journalists and civil society, disinformation, internet governance, climate and tech, online censorship and surveillance, grassroots approaches to AI, and the long-term sustainability of the global digital rights field, among others.

The Global Gathering will offer:

Networking, Meetups & Circles

We will provide participants with tools and spaces to mobilize around critical topics. While Team CommUNITY will facilitate topical and regional meetups, attendees will also be able to coordinate their own discussions at the event, creating a more self-organized, community-driven experience.

Villages & Private Events

The Global Gathering offers organizations and networks the opportunity to host their own public and private events. This year, we are hosting regional villages plus instances dedicated to specific topics of the digital rights space, which will be led by specialists.

Booths

 Spaces will be available for showcasing work, conducting demos, or running skillshares during longer periods so attendees can engage with projects and organizations meaningfully and at a more informal pace.
